Doug Carroll is a former professional baseball player. He also a graduate of the University of South Florida, where he was an All-American in 1994. He was a finalist for the Dick Howser Award in 1994 which is awarded to the best player in college baseball. Doug spent the next several years in the Tampa Bay and Seattle Mariners organizations where he learned from some of the best coaches in Major League Baseball.
Doug played his college baseball at the University of South Florida. He was a member of the 1993 USA National Team and was selected to play in the prestigious Cape League.
After an immensely successful college baseball career, Doug was drafted in the 10th round of the 1994 MLB Amateur Draft by the Seattle Mariners. This was the 2nd time Doug was drafted, having been a 5th round pick of the Boston Red Sox in 1991. He went on to play seven seasons of professional baseball with the Mariners and Devil Rays at various levels, being named a California League All-Star in 1996 and being a member of the 1997 Florida State League Champions, St. Petersburg Devil Rays.
